Undressed, 2025

Often hidden or covered in traditional applications, MDF is reimagined in the Undressed collection, where its utilitarian nature is boldly celebrated. This series redefines the potential of MDF, by embracing it’s honesty and elevating it through considered craftsmanship and modernist design principles, creating an unexpected synthesis. The meticulous process of French polishing, typically reserved for finer materials, is used to offset MDF’s unassuming nature - a surprising consideration and a privilege rarely afforded to such a material. Forms are inspired by Bauhaus simplicity but reimagined through a modernist lens.  The collection balances playfulness and restraint, allowing pieces to either stand out or recede depending on their setting.

Meeting at the intersection of nature and industry, Things To Put Flowers In (And On) explores the quiet harmony found between opposing materials. Characterised by an honest materiality, the collection offers an alternative perspective on traditional ideas of utility and ornamentation.
